Asif Zardari kay liye ek qataa

The return of Asif Zardari with an additional accessory to his glasses

ek roz hum say kahnay lagee ek gul-badan
ainak say baandh rakhi haye kiun apnay rassan(rope)

milta haye kia issi say yeh andaz-e-fikr-o-fun?
hum nay kaha key aisa nahin haye, janab-e-mun

baithay jahan haseen hoan ek bazm-e-aam mein
rakhtay hain hum nigah ko apni lagaaam mein

What's next?

Now that the elections in Pakistan are over and all those who participated either by nomination or ballot have either won or lost while as is customary there are those whiners that continue to whine about everything.

Those who have won a considerable number of seats yet cant be considered majority are cordially announcing that we are open to hear from other competitors instead of big winners that I would expect to hear say that they will welcome those who may wish to discuss an alliance.

It appears though that in this give and take drafting game we are as usual losing valuable time when responsible "politicians" should think of establishing whatever ties they need and move on by mobilizing the machinery of legislature and the govt.

Along all this we have the same few side-walk magicians the great
madaries of the past who are back with their bid to sue this and sue that not to mention we still have (Retired Gen.) President Pervez Musharaf the lame-duck sitting target.

Although there is news coming through the grapevine that he may conclude in next couple of weeks to pick up and leave, yet we find it ritualistic to continue throwing stones and calling names at him.

We consider ourselves to be from Muslim Ummah (not meaning to include those who don't, but those who do) yet we don't act in accordance.

Recently I read through a blog which inconspicuously describes with reference to
citizens of Karachi that they began their lives after 11:00 AM!! (the wake up time)!!
I wonder if the Karachites, (whoever practices so) do they even get up to offer their Fajr prayers? if so, do they fall asleep again thereafter?

I know for a fact that most parties don't began before 10 PM which means that the arrival of guests begins sometime after 10 if they are early birds, while the parties don't wrap up late until after midnight if early enough for the hosts and guests.
This is just a glimpse on what Pakistan, Pakistanis, our politics, politicians & the
madaries are up to without going into detailed account of screwing up, of the nation, by the nation and for the nation(sounds democratic, doesn't it).

With such characteristics are we still able to make assumptions that Allah SWT will help us in this misguided state?

I believe it is not too late that each and everyone of us begin to evaluate their actions, seek Allah SWT's forgiveness for all that they may have committed intentionally or unintentionally, and, seek HIS guidance in leading us to the right path where we can preserve the mission of our founders along with the sanctity of Pakistan and then continue to strive for achieving the goal set by the mission of our founders to acquire a separate homeland for the Muslims of sub-continent.

John F. Kennedy said,
"Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You -Ask what you can do for your country"..........Inaugural Address by John F. Kennedy - January 20th 1961

How often it is that we are charged by a spirit similar to what JFK said? I have observed almost everyone that I come across complaining that the country or the Govt. did not do this or that.
I have always observed people to talk about their rights over Pakistan, yet I dont ever hear people talking about their duty to the homeland or to the nation.

It is hightime that we begin to recognize our duties to the nation and sincerely perform along the line and if everyone takes this start there is no reason that our nation can be left behind in any segment
of life.

Let us stop following the political leaders who have cheated the nation in every which manner they could have and while allowing them to keep on with their ruthless politics that has blinded them we should strive in our own status as a responsible citizen since it is a universal truth that, God does not help those who dont help themselves.

May Allah SWT protect our homeland and the citizens from the fitnah of politics, internal, external, national & international, and, may Allah SWT guide those of us who chose to lead the nation so they are able to lead the nation on the right path, ameen.

Let us stop looking to other nations (consisting of humans just like us) to seek their help, and, instead work hard and pray to Allah SWT to grant us our needs since there is no limit to the blessings of Allah SWT.
